The FUMC Quilters are so excited to be holding their 30th annual Quilt and Craft Show on Saturday, October 18th from 10 – 3 at First United Methodist Church, 7111 St Rt 104 West, Oswego, N.Y.

The church is located across from the Fruit Valley Vet Clinic.

Because this is a special milestone for us we will be handing out small gifts to the first 30 shoppers – or 50. (We got carried away.) Those of us who participated in a mystery quilt will have them on display and we will have a second display showing the reason we became a group of quilters in the first place.

Each year the FUMC quilters have enjoyed creating quilts, table runners, and many other crafty items that make great gifts - just in time for gift giving, and all at affordable prices.

Coming back this year will be most of the usual vendors and a handful of new ones. Since it was so well received last year we will again have a pool to fish for fabric.

Kerry Barnes of the Four Seasons Quilters will be demonstrating the art of quilting, as always. This year she will be showing us what to do with our two and a half inch fabric strips.

There will be a Silent Auction and all proceeds of the auction go to the Oswego County Opportunities Cancer Program which provides free screenings for those who are without health insurance. We do this in memory of our former leader, Kay Godden because we want to help those who need it get early detection.

From noon until gone we will be offering a Barbecued Chicken Dinner. Take-outs are available.
