Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
Attendees will go outside to participate in the great Backyard Bird Count, an annual event that occurs all over the world. This event takes place over four days (February 16th through February 19th) where people can observe, learn about, and celebrate birds while participating in citizen science.
The environmental educator will lead this program for attendees to participate with others and will discuss the importance of citizen science for research.
All ages are welcome to participate in this event; binoculars, a love for nature and birds, and at least 15 minutes to observe birds is all that is needed to participate!
