Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
This training will provide attendees with the basic information and resources they need to be ready when disaster strikes your community. Participants will leave with valuable information, and each family that attends will receive one free Emergency Preparedness Kit. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

Description: With severe weather events becoming more frequent and more extreme, it is more important than ever that our community is prepared for disasters. The NY Citizen Preparedness Training Program teaches residents to have the tools and resources to prepare for any type of disaster, respond accordingly and recover as quickly as possible to pre-disaster conditions. This training course will provide an introduction to responding to a natural or man-made disaster. Participants will learn how to properly prepare for any disaster.
