Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."

Head to the Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center to learn about vermicomposting from the director of the Cornell Waste Management Institute in Soil and Crop Sciences, Jean Bonhotal.
Vermicomposting is a composting process that relies on worms turning food waste into nutrient-rich organic fertilizer. Jean will go into detail regarding her work and experience with composting, which exceeds 25 years. Each family that participates will receive a 5-gallon bucket, red worms, and bedding to begin their own bucket composting at home. Registration is required for this program as space is limited.
The fee for this program is only $4 per person, or $12 for a family. Children under the age of three are free! Preregistration is requested. For more information and to register, visit http://thatscooperativeextension.org/events.
