Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
RCA Reflections are invited talks about ecology and the environment, free and open to all to join. This talk will be delivered in a hybrid format: in-person at Rice Creek Field Station or via Zoom (see Dial-In Instructions below).
This interactive workshop will introduce the basic framework of Ayurveda, which means "way of life". After the introduction, participants will learn how to identify their constitution and use a tool, tongue diagnosis, that can help individuals make wise choices in alignment with their constitution for better health. Herbs and lifestyle support for different constitutions will be discussed. The goal of the workshop is for participants to use the tools and information provided to improve their health. A hand-held mirror to view the tongue should be brought to the presentation.
Teacher Linda Knowles, a Naturalist at Rice Creek Field Station, has been a student of Ayurvedic and herbal medicine for over thirty-five years.
