Dear Residents and Business Owners of the City of Oswego,

As winter weather continues to impact our community, we are writing together to ask for your help in keeping Oswego safe and accessible for everyone.

With recent snowfall and more winter to come, clear and passable sidewalks are more important than ever. Many students walk to and from school each day, and countless community members including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and essential workers rely on sidewalks to travel safely throughout the city.

We respectfully urge all residents and business owners to clear snow and ice from sidewalks in front of their homes and businesses as promptly as possible after snowfall.Doing so helps reduce the risk of slips and falls, supports safe routes for students attending school, and ensures all members of our community can move about with confidence.

We recognize that winter storms can be demanding, and we truly appreciate the efforts already being made across our neighborhoods and business districts. Your cooperation and care make a meaningful difference, especially as we prepare for more challenging weather conditions.

Thank you for helping to lokk out for one another and for supporting the safety and well-being of our students and neighbors.

Sincerely,

Mayor Robert Corradino

Superintendent of Oswego Schools Ray Kilmer
