Adopt a Pet Today: Playful Little Pearlie

Abandoned in the woods in Hannibal just a few days before Christmas on a cold, rainy, horrible day, Pearlie was hiding under a tree and yelling at the top of her lungs. It was obvious that she had been an indoor cat as her coat is very sleek and shiny and slightly worn where she once had a collar.

Pearlie is about a year old but very small, about 6 pounds and very "kittenish" in an extremely good way. In spite of how she was found, she is just the nicest little cat. She manages to get along with all of the older, grumpier cats in her foster home and is not intimidated by the two dogs and was totally affectionate with visiting granddaughters over the holidays.

She likes to jump up for attention but is not clingy and she loves playing with cat toys, including but not limited to paper bags. She is very slim but will probably fill out somewhat as she has a great appetite. She has a somewhat Oriental look with huge ears and a triangular face and beautiful black fur.

She has been to the vet and is up to date with her shots and ready to come play with you. Please contact Diane at 315-591-0459 for more information on adopting Pearlie.

Speaking of playing, come join us at the Faux Fur Ball on Jan. 31 at the American Foundry, 246 W. Seneca St. Great food, music by the Billionaires, dancing, raffles and a silent auction for all of the real fur balls of the Humane Society. Invitations will be out soon or you can buy tickets online at www.oswegohumane.org.
