Alfred E. “Butch” Ferguson, 67, a resident of Cherry Street in Oswego, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013, in El Paso, Texas.
Butch was born in Oswego, a son of the late Alfred I. and Irene (Crowell) Ferguson. He was a life resident.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed with the Boilermakers Local #175, working on many area construction projects.
Butch was an enthusiastic golfer and a member of the Oswego Country Club. He was also a member of the Oswego Elks Lodge, and enjoyed sailing with his friends at the Oswego Yacht Club
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lue (Reidy) Ferguson, of Oswego; a son, Garett (Melissa) Ferguson, of El Paso, Texas; two sisters, Patricia Furman, of Oswego, and Lynda (Rick) Hood, of Salem, Oregon; a granddaughter, Meredith Ferguson; a grandson, Mason Ferguson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Jamie Ferguson; a sister, Frances Ferguson; a brother, Kenneth Ferguson; a brother-in-law, Paul Furman; and a sister-in-law, Teresa Reedy.
Private graveside services will be held in Rural Cemetery.
