Alice A. Sheldon, 99, of Oswego, died April 28, 2017 in New Port Richey, FL.
Born in Keota, Missouri, she was the daughter of Silas and Martha (Taylor) Haley.
She moved to NY at the age of 7 where she grew up in Sydner Hill, NY.
She attended school in Marathon, NY and from there, worked at General Electric in Syracuse.
Alice moved to Oswego after her marriage to Lawrence Sheldon in 1944. She retired from Food Service at Oswego State University after 12 years.
She enjoyed crafts and feeding birds. She was a member of the Home Bureau and the Church of the Resurrection.
She is predeceased by her husband, Lawrence; her brothers, Elmer Haley, Claude Haley, and Otis Haley; and her sister Sadie Cross.
Surviving are her many nieces and nephews.
Burial will be held in Peck’s Cemetery in Scriba, NY.
