The Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center would like to introduce its new program, Animal Tracks, happening Saturday morning, December 20th, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
Tracking can be done any time of year, and next month attendees will have the opportunity to enter this world of mystery solving and storytelling.
Participants will begin by choosing a track mold and making a cast of it using air-dry clay. They will then learn how to read all the clues a track has to offer before going on a guided trail walk, which will give participants a chance to put those new observation skills to the test. Are there any animals roaming the woods? Attendees can find out!
This event, open to participants of any age, offers a unique opportunity to study tracks up close, dig deeper into movement patterns, and connect with nature during a time of year when animals seem scarce. The program fee is only $4 per person and up to $12 per family. Advanced registration is encouraged, as space is limited.
