Anthony J. Barone, 89 of Minetto, passed away Wednesday in the Syracuse VA Medical Center.
He was born in Utica and was the son of the late Peter and Rose DeFazio Barone. Mr. Barone was the husband of the late Grayce L. Barone who died in 1997. He was a graduate of Clarkson University and had been employed for many years as a Hydroelectric Engineer with Niagara Mohawk. Mr. Barone had served as the Town Justice in Minetto for 37 years, retiring in 2011. He was a member of the NYS Magistrates Association. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and a Member of the American Legion Post #268.
He is survived by one daughter Deborah Barone of Houston, TX, one son Michael (Lisa) Barone of Phoenix, five grandchildren, Trevor Hyde, Ariana Hyde, Victoria Barone, Logan Hyde, Nicholas Barone and one great grandchild Gavin Hyde.
Funeral services will be Tuesday 9:30AM from the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home and at 10:00AM in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Calling hours 4-7PM Monday at the funeral home.
