Anthony Patrick Mangano, 80, a resident of East Seneca Street in Oswego, passed away Wednesday, at the Morningstar Care Center in Oswego.
Tony was born in Oswego, the son of the late Anthony and Josephine (Cira) Mangano.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed, for 35 years, with the Alcan Corp. in Oswego. Following his retirement, he worked for 13 years as a crossing guard for the Oswego City School District.
Tony loved his family and his dogs so much. He also loved camping, fishing, and especially spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Betty (Cox) Mangano; a son, Christopher (Sarah) Mangano; two daughters, Sheri (Jeff) Ganey, and Victoria (Jeff) Barrett; his grandchildren, Jordan, Sydney, Ethan, and Riley; a brother, Jim (Kathy) Mangano; a sister, Rosemarie (Robert) Kuzawski; many nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Adele Mangano.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Joseph.
Calling hours will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 Saturday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
