Barbara A. Nelson, 82, a resident of Fortuna Parkway in Clay, passed away Monday, in The Manor at Seneca Hill in Volney.
Barbara was born in Aurora, Illinois, the daughter of the late Frederick and Viola (Smith) Mueller. She moved to the Syracuse area many years ago after her husband, Robert L. Nelson, was transferred from Illinois. Robert preceded her in death in 2011.
She loved spending time with her children & grandchildren, and often traveled to Wyoming, and vacationed in Cape Cod. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed the outdoors with her husband.
She is survived by three daughters, Kimberly (Kevin) Jeffries of Pennellville, Julie (Jack) Harrison of Sheridan, Wyoming, and Lisa (Jack) Blum of Oswego; and four grandchildren, Ryan Crawford, Audrey (Seth) Williams, Lindsey Blum, and Hilary Harrison.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth Mueller and Charles Mueller.
Services will be private.
