Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County will be hosting a free beginning farmers’ workshop held on Thursday, September 26th from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the county extension office located at 3288 Main Street, Mexico, NY.
Presenters will be Kellie Greene, Senior Business Advisor from the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and Joshua Vrooman, Agriculture Educator for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County. Kellie will be introducing the Oswego SBDC, talk through the basics on how to start an agriculture business, and discuss some of the key factors of running a successful small business. Joshua will provide a short overview of the cooperative extension system, including some of the educational resources available to beginning farmers.
There will be plenty of time for questions and networking. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Registration is required.
