Bishop's Commons Enriched Living Residence will host the Alzheimer's Association, Central New York Chapter educational workshop entitled, "Memory Loss, Dementia, and Alzheimer's Disease: The Basics," at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 27.
Bishop Commons Enriched Living Residence is located at 4 Burkle St., in Oswego.
This educational program discusses the difference between normal aging and dementia, explores how the brain works, defines dementia and goes through the different stages of the disease, explains the importance of clinical trials and gives an overview of the programs and services offered by the Alzheimer's Association.
The educational program is free of charge and open to the public, but registration is required. To register, call 315-596-4016, ext. 125.
