Born in Ontario, Canada, he was the son of the late Rodrick and Maryanne (Parker) McRae and graduated from high school in Ontario Canada.
Bruce was a lifelong welder and was a master of his craft. His job required him to travel and work all over the United States.
He also enjoyed working on things in his garage.
Surviving are his wife of 32 years, the former Patricia A. Harrington, two step sons, Tracey (Karen) Canale and David (Danden) Canale both of Oswego , five step grandchildren, Anthony Canale, Brandon Canale, Justin Canale, Amber Canale and Cameron Canale.
Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.
There are no calling hours.
