Write a commentOne of the area’s most anticipated events for older adults, the Oswego County Senior Fair, is coming to Oswego!
On September 17th the Oswego County Senior Fair will be held at the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center, 26 East First Street in Oswego from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
“We are pleased to be bringing the annual Oswego County Senior Fair back to Oswego,” said Oswego County Opportunities (OCO) Coordinator of Community Health Joelle Hutson. “This year we have partnered with Senator Mannion’s office to present the largest Senior Fair to date. There will be more than 60 vendors on-site offering the latest information on the resources that are readily available to seniors through the county, including health tips and advice on wellness. Attendees have the chance to speak with providers regarding the many beneficial programs, services, and healthcare options that exist in Oswego County for older adults and caregivers.
To ensure that people have a chance to see all that’s at the fair the hours of the event have been extended to 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Additionally, for those unable to access public transit, free transportation to and from the Senior Fair will be available by calling 315-598-1514.
Sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association of Central New York, the Oswego County Senior Fair is free to attend. In addition to the valuable information there will be plenty of giveaways from vendors, a Senior Resource Guide, a re-useable grocery bag filled with senior resources, a free light lunch, and free flu shots courtesy of Wegman’s.
