Carole A. Burdick, 84, of Pennellville, passed away peacefully, with her loving family by her side, on October 4, 2024.

Born in Syracuse, she was the daughter of the late Bryon and Francis (Whipple) Shoecraft.

Carole loved her family and cherished time with her children and grandchildren. She was an animal lover who especially loved horses. She was involved in her community, served as a 4-H leader for many years and also helped run the Spies Family Dairy Farm .

Carole is survived by her daughters Tari Weston and Tracey (Richard) Thurber and close family friend David Keener, son Don (Jen) Burdick, and her stepchildren Rita Godfrey (John Altman), Ursla Spies, and John (Liz) Spies.  She also leaves behind her brother Tom Shoecraft as well as 10 beloved grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Carole was preceded in death by her longtime soulmate John Spies Sr. in 2006 and her brother Tim Shoecraft.

In respecting Carole’s wishes there will be no services.  Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
