Born in Oswego, She was the daughter of the late George and Mildred (Sharpe) Clifford and was a graduate of the Oswego High School, Class of 1968.
She was a self-employed seamstress for many years.
She enjoyed listening to country music and collecting Angels. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish & Shrine
Surviving are two brothers, Edward (Donna) Clifford of Oswego, Timothy Clifford of Fulton, daughter-in-law, Terri Proud of Fulton, two granddaughters, Laura (Richard) Wyant, Christine (Brandon) Wood, two great-grandchildren, Liam and Meredith and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Proud Sr., son, James Proud Jr., and her brother, George Clifford Jr.
