472 W 1st Street to Munn St on W.1st St, Burden Drive Area & All of the Munn Water District (pink section of map notes all impacted areas) - (See Attached Map)

Effective: 11pm on Thursday, August 7, 2025, until further notice.

Due to a water main break occurring at 11 pm on Thursday, August 7, 2025, there was a loss of water pressure necessitating a boil and conserve water advisory. This affects all noted areas listed above or in the map below. There is more scheduled work to be completed on Monday/Tuesday of this week to address the current situation, which will extend the boil and conserve advisory. With the upcoming work and the subsequent and necessary water testing that has to occur in order to list the advisory, residents in the impacted area should prepare to adhere to the boil and conserve advisory through Friday, August 15.

THE CITY OF OSWEGO WILL ADVISE WHEN THE ADVISORY HAS BEEN LIFTED. RESIDENTS NEED TO CONTINUE TO BOIL WATER FOR THEIR SAFETY UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Residents in the affected areas, please continue to boil your water before using it for:

- Drinking

- Making ice

- Washing dishes

- Brushing teeth

- Preparing food

Bring tap water to a rolling boil, boil for at least one minute, then allow it to cool before using. Alternatively, you may use bottled water certified for sale by the New York State Department of Health.

The situation is on-going and subject to change.

The City of Oswego will keep the public informed as they receive information.
