Write a commentColleen Marie Penfield, 59 of Oswego passed away Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
She was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late Charles and Gladys Taylor Brower. Colleen was the wife of Robert W. Penfield.
She had been employed for 28 years with the Empower Federal Credit Union. Colleen was a kindhearted, genuine, and vivacious person who loved to laugh. She was loyal and generous with many lifelong friends whom she treated as family. She often enjoyed trips to the casino and particularly loved bingo. She loved going on cruise vacations with her devoted husband and was a member of the Oswego Speedway racing community for many years. She was wholeheartedly dedicated to her children and delighted in yearly family trips and hosting family dinners. She truly treasured her grandchildren and took every opportunity to spend time with them and support them.
In addition to her husband she is survived by one daughter, Alicia Miceli of Oswego, one son Michael (Alissa) Miceli of Oswego, one sister Michelle (John) Nelson of Hannibal, four grandchildren, Trenton Miceli, Olivia Nommay, Ashley Miceli and Charlotte Miceli, several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours Monday 4-7PM with a service to follow at 7PM at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home. Private burial services will be Tuesday in Rural Cemetery.
