Colleen Scheirer, 64, a former resident of Oswego passed away on September 7, 2024, at her home in Phoenix N.Y.

Born in Oswego, She was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Brownell) Fitzgerald and was a graduate of the Oswego High School.

She was employed with the Econo Lodge for many years, was a member of VFW #5885, and was an avid reader.

Surviving are her husband of forty years, Lee Scheirer, three children, Mark Scheirer of Hastings, Shawn Scheirer of Darien, Ill., and Stephanie Richards of Hastings, five grandchildren,  Taylor, Eric, Antoni, Star Ann, and Dominic..

Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.

There are no calling hours.

Arrangements are in the care of the Dowdle Funeral Home.
