The Oswego State men's soccer team was held scoreless in a 4-0 defeat at Fredonia on Friday afternoon. Oswego's record is now 4-6-1 overall and 1-4-0 in the SUNYAC while the Blue Devils go to 2-8-2, 1-2-1.
Both teams combined for 38 shots in the course of the contest, 17 coming off the feet of Laker players. Of those 17, eight were on-goal but none were able to find the back of the net. Freshman Bernard Osei accounted for a team-high four shots, and nearly half the squad's attempts on-goal with three. Fredonia registered two goals in each half on its way to victory.
Senior goalie Todd Lawson made eight saves for Oswego, five of which came in the first half.
As a team, the Lakers held a slight edge in corner kick chances, taking four corners to the Blue Devils' three.
Oswego will return to action at 4 p.m. on Saturday when it travels to Buffalo State for a tilt with the Bengals.
