Ever wonder how nuclear power is generated or how a nuclear plant operates?

Come to our Community Information Night and get a peek inside the control room simulator, engage in interactive displays about nuclear energy, and enjoy some tasty treats from Gannon’s Ice Cream.

Join the employees of Nine Mile Point and FitzPatrick nuclear stations on Tuesday, Aug. 21, from 4-7 p.m. at the Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station Training Center and discover what it’s like to work at a nuclear power plant. The event is free! RSVP today at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/exelon-generation-community-information-night-oswego-tickets-47176275510.

We’ll have employees from Operations, Engineering, Security, Radiation Protection and more departments sharing information on how the plants work and how we keep the public and employees safe. The Unit 2 simulator will be open and guests can see the exact replica of a Control Room with live demonstrations by our staff. We’ll have an interactive game for kids and “how to dress like a nuclear worker” activity. New this year be activities in our distance learning facility including live demonstrations of our 3D printer and our virtual reality classroom.

Plus Gannon’s ice cream!!!
