“Moving Women to Power” is not only the Connections tagline, it’s also the number one goal of every Connections conference. That is why Connections has created the “Woman of Power” award. This award will recognize a woman whose civic and community service goes beyond “normal” responsibilities, creating a lasting and beneficial impact on the community.

Nomination forms are available now and will be accepted through August 31st. The award will be presented at the 10th annual Connections conference on Tuesday, October 27th at the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center.

This year’s event will feature several dynamic speakers, networking opportunities, continental breakfast, lunch, and a dessert reception. Following lunch, our speakers will participate in a panel Q&A.

Again this year, headshots will be offered by Dayger Photography, with no sitting fee. Free hair and make-up touch-ups will also be available.
Also returning this year is Bee-Hive Networking, a business building activity that allows you to find exactly what you are looking for in a very short period of time. Please be sure to come armed with 100 business cards.

“Connections provides an outstanding opportunity for women to learn from each other, generate new ideas, build relationships with like-minded women and to encourage women to find their power,” said Evelyn LiVoti, Connections’ co-chair. “We are very excited to honor a woman who has found her power and has used it to make her community better.”

Sponsors to date include SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations (OBCR), Women’s Network for Entrepreneurial Training (WNET), Operation Oswego County and the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center.
