Constance J. Bond, 88, of Oswego, died August 4, 2017.

Born in Potsdam, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Gladys (Trouse) Holmes.

She moved to Oswego in 1943, where her family operated the West End Diner.

A graduate of the Oswego High School in 1947, she then attended and received her Batchelor's degree at Oswego State and later she received her Master’s in Elementary Education. She completed her courses for her Doctorate at Columbia University.

She worked at Hannibal Central School, Geneseo Campus School and Oswego Campus School. In 1961, she became an Assistant Professor of Education and after 30 years she retired in 1991 as Associate Professor of Education.

Surviving are her sister, Barbara (Harrison) Boyce, of Oswego; five nieces and four nephews and her close friend F. Elizabeth Moody of Oswego.

She was predeceased by her husband Calvin Bond and a sister Shirley Bateman.

Memorial Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Resurrection, 120 West Fifth St. Oswego.

The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to the nurses of B-Wing at St. Luke Health Services for their excellent care of Connie.
