The Crank It Up! antique tractor and engine show will continue as planned on Sept. 20 and 21 at the Oswego County Fairgrounds, after the founder of the event was involved in a serious car accident last Thursday.

Founder Doreen Macklen (pictured on the right) was hit after a driver ran through a stop sign and T-boned Macklen and friend Pat Van Houten. Both were transferred to Upstate Medical Center and are expected to fully recover; however, recovery will take some time. Macklen has a fracture in her right knee, a broken right hand and several cracked vertebra, according to her husband Dale.WOLFRadio-DoreenAndHowler600x400
With help from her family, iHeart Oswego and volunteers, her work for the event will be taken care of.

Anyone who knows Macklen is aware she is a tough character. She told iHeart Oswego, via phone call, that Crank It Up! will go on.

"We will continue on with Crank It Up! Please tell everyone I said thank you for the support but please do not visit, I aim to get out of here as quickly as possible," Macklen said.

Macklen is hoping the event to be as successful as in the past.

She starts rehab for her injuries on Tuesday.

iHeart Oswego will be creating a fund as soon as possible to help Macklen with her recovery. Details will be sent to any interested parties. Please email any questions to Victoria@iHeartOswego.com.

iHeart Oswego wishes Macklen a speedy recovery.
