Write a commentDaniel J. Smith, 64 of Oswego died February 17 at Upstate Medical University Hospital as a result of injuries that he sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born in Oswego and was the son of Norman H. Smith and the late Esther D. Lockwood Smith. Mr. Smith was a carpenter and carpet installer for many years. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam era.
He is survived by his father, Norman H. Smith of Oswego, one son, Gregory D. Smith of Key West, FL, one daughter, Anastasia Marie Jones of Longmont, CO, three sisters Sharon A. Smith of Oswego, Jeanette (Pat) Whitehouse of Pulaski, Theresa J. Ciappa of Oswego, several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Douglas H. Smith.
Funeral services will be private. There are no calling hours.
Contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
