Darlene Wright, 76, a resident of 225 West First Street in Oswego, passed away Thursday, at St. Luke Health Services.
Mrs. Wright was born in Richland, the daughter of the late Burton and Marion (Trumble) Whaley. She had lived in Oswego for many years.
She was very active in the Oswego Salvation Army. She was a devoted bell-ringer, and a member of the League of Mercies. She loved the Salvation Army members like they were her family.
She was the wife of the late Francis Wright, who died on July 18, 2014. She and her husband had been married for 35 years.
She is survived by a brother, Bill; a sister, Carol; several nieces and nephews; and by Helen Lehmann, whom she thought of as a mother.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by several siblings.
Graveside services will be held in the spring in Minetto Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Oswego Salvation Army.
