David S. Dunn, 50, a resident of Scriba passed away on September 27 at the Upstate Medical University in Syracuse with his family by his side.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of Lawrence and Virginia (Gigon) Dunn and was a graduate of the Oswego High School. He loved his job as Animal Control for the Towns of Scriba, Mexico, Richland, Hastings and Minetto. Mr. Dunn was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the 1980's. He was the past Commander of the Scriba VFW. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt,fish and trap. He loved to go snowmobiling and also loved to go backpacking in the Adirondacks.
Surviving besides his parents are his wife, the former Elisa Brown, a daughter, Jessica Dunn of Oswego,a brother, Robert (Gail) Dunn of Hannibal, two sisters, Amy (Dennis) Perkins of Oswego, Jennifer (John) Folkenroth of Texas, nieces and nephews Damien, Logan, Briella and Conner and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 from the Dowdle Funeral Home.
Burial will be in North Scriba Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7.
