Write a commentOswego County Clerk Michael C. Backus is reminding drivers that they can have old peeling license plates replaced for free at one of the three Motor Vehicles offices in Oswego County.
Backus said that some NYS license plates which were issued a few years ago are peeling and deteriorating due to a manufacturing defect. He advises drivers who still have the old peeling plates on their vehicles to "visit one of our three county-run motor vehicle offices and we will replace your peeling plates at no cost."
