The office of Planning, Development & Community Infrastructure has announced their upcoming webinars for DRI 8 and NYF 3.

 Governor Hochul announced the eighth round of the DRI along with the third round of NY Forward, a program targeted at revitalizing smaller and rural comunities, This year, DRI will invest $100 million in 10 new communities to be selected by the REDCs, bringing the toatl amount of funding allocated for all rounds of DRI and NYF to $1.2 billion.

How To Apply to the Downtown Revitalization Initiative and NY Forward Program

Join the NYS Department of State for a live webinar to learn more about Round Eight of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative and the Round Three of the NY Forward Program. The overarching goals of the two programs are to revitalize downdowns and reinvigorate local and regional economies by creating a critical mass of vibrant downtown destinations in each region. NY Forward diverges in several aspects to reach and serve the unique needs and characteristics of the State's smaller and rural communities. The webinar will give updates on this year's programs, deadlines, and put aside time for frequently asked questions.

Pro-Housing Requirements for DRI Round 8 and NY Forward Round 3

Representatives from the HCR will discuss Pro-Housing Communities, and the process for applying. DRI Round 8 and NYF Round 3 awardees are required to be certified prior to award. The webinar will allow potential applicants to ask questions on the process.

Transforming Downtowns with Strong revitalization Project

A discussion on how potential applicants should be identifying strong projects that will be tied to revitalization efforts in their downtown. This presentation will focus on establishing that process and giving examples from past communities in their applications.
