Write a commentDuFore’s Jewelers of Oswego recently donated a necklace replica of the West Pierhead Lighthouse to be auctioned at the Lighthouse Auction on Saturday, Oct. 25.
The event will take place at the American Foundry, 246 W. Seneca St., with the silent auction at 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and online auction from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are available at the door for $10.
The genuine sterling silver and gemstone necklace is valued at $695. The roof is made up of red rubies, brown diamonds create the break wall, and blue sapphires make up the water.
The Lighthouse committee is looking for items to be donated. Juried artwork will be accepted until Wednesday, Oct. 1, while other donated items will be accepted until Friday, Oct. 10.
All proceeds made at the auction will benefit the Lighthouse Restoration Project.
