On March 30, 2015, Eleanor A. Palmitesso, 85, passed away at the Oswego Hospital with her family by her side.
Born in Oswego, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Alice (McGovern) Cordean. She was a graduate of the Oswego High School and the Genesee Hospital School of Nursing in 1951. She was employed with the Genesee Hospital in the early 1950's and also was employed with the Oswego Hospital as a registered nurse. Eleanor was a member of the Catholic Nurses and the St.Mary's Legion of Mary. She was an avid walker.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Carl Palmitesso, a sister, Alice Feeney of Oswego, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, August Cordean.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 from St.Peter's Church.
Entombment will be in All Saint's Mausoleum.
Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Sunday from 5-8.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
