Write a commentElizabeth M. "Betty" Lopez, 71, a resident of Oswego passed away on November 27, 2018 at the Bishop Rehab and Nursing Center in Syracuse.
Born in Bombay, N.Y. , She was a daughter of the late Ernest and Ethel (Durant) Sauve and was a graduate of the Massena Central School.
Betty was a traveling nurse who later was employed as a nurse at the Migrant Daycare Center in Palermo.
She loved knitting and crocheting and enjoyed doing crosswords.
Surviving are her two daughters, Catherine Rosales of Chicago and Colleen Sauve of Oswego, a brother, John Sauve of Oswego, eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren
She was predeceased by her husband, Santos Lopez in 1994, a brother, Ernest Sauve and a sister, Mary Stickle.
Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00-5:00.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 from All Saint's Mausoleum at St. Peter's Cemetery.
