Erin’s Angels of CNY also announced that applications are now being accepted for its Feeding the Future Scholarship.

The program will award two $1,000 scholarships to Oswego County high school seniors. One scholarship is reserved for a Phoenix Central School District student. The scholarships may be used for college or trade school expenses.

Diana Wolgemuth, scholarship committee chairperson for Erin’s Angels of CNY, said the initiative is meant to support students beyond immediate needs.

“We never want a student to have to choose between surviving today and building a future tomorrow,” Wolgemuth said. “Feeding students matters, but so does feeding the mind. This scholarship program is about helping young people in Oswego County break the cycle of poverty by giving them a path to education, a career and long-term stability.”

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Applicants must be seniors in high school within an Oswego County school district.
  • Applicants must have maintained a 2.0 to 4.0 GPA during their final two years of high school.
  • Applicants must have completed at least 100 volunteer hours with organizations addressing food insecurity or have overcome a significant family or emotional hardship.
  • Applicants should include details in an essay and provide documentation of volunteer hours.
  • Applicants must provide two references, including one from a teacher or school administrator.
  • Applicants must provide an acceptance letter for college or technical school enrollment the semester after graduation.
  • The letter must be presented at the time the scholarship is distributed.

Applications will be accepted through Friday, March 27, 2026.
