Exterus Technology for Business, located in Shelburne, Vermont, has announced it is merging their Xerox copier, printer and IT business with Usherwood Office Technology, located in Williston, Vermont.
Effective January 1st, the merged entity will be known as Usherwood Office Technology. Under the merger, all Exterus employees will be retained and relocated to Usherwood’s new offices and showroom at 1193 South Brownell Road. Usherwood is an independent family owned authorized solutions provider for Canon, Xerox, Microsoft and Samsung. In addition, Usherwood offers services for managed IT, managed print and mailing solutions.
“This merger allows our current clients to continue acquiring Xerox technology from the same Vermont sales representatives they've been working with for more than two decades, while offering a more robust suite of solutions. The addition of Canon sales and service to the existing Xerox line makes Usherwood unique in the marketplace” said Exterus President Tim Williams. “This merger is both an exciting and positive step for our employees and our clients.”
According to Williams, Usherwood provides more expansive resources, and will allow for a broader IT partnership with its clients. From onsite consulting to five-year technology roadmaps, Usherwood has the capabilities to integrate all of their office technology and services, he noted.
To celebrate the merger and introduce itself to the local business community, Usherwood will be having an open house on Thursday January 14th at their Williston office.
Usherwood President and CEO Louis F. Usherwood expressed his enthusiasm for the merger with Exterus. “This merger between Usherwood and Exterus combines more than a half-century of providing office technology solutions and efficiencies to businesses and organizations throughout the Northeast,” Usherwood said. “We are very pleased to be able to offer current Exterus clients our expanded services, while continuing the customer-centric approach that both companies’ reputations and rich history have been built upon.”
