Oswego County 4-H will be offering a four-session Veterinary Science program.

This program will be held from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Thursdays, and one Wednesday, starting on September 21st through October 18th. Two sessions will be held at the Believers Chapel North in Mexico, and two will be held at other sites.

Participants will learn about different things that can affect animals both at home and/or on a farm. Session topics will include Bio Security, a discussion of insect vector diseases by the Oswego Health Department, a large-scale farm tour, and a visit to the North Country Veterinary Services facility.

The Oswego 4-H Vet Science Program is open to youth ages 8-18 years old. The fee to participate in these four classes is only $15 per youth. Enrolled Oswego County 4-H members are free. Registration is required as space is limited. A parent or legal guardian must attend the first session on September 21st to complete and sign additional enrollment paperwork.
