Fanny R. Burdick, 96, and a resident of County Route 89 in the town of Oswego, passed away Monday. February 5, 2024 at the Oswego Hospital.
Fanny was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late Leo and Ida (Briggs) Murray. She was a life resident of the area.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a waitress at Wade’s Diner in Oswego.
Fanny was a graduate of St. Mary’s School in Oswego, and a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.
She was the wife of the late Earle F. Burdick.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Burdick of Oswego; a son, Earl Burdick of Oswego, a sister Laura Syrell of Oswego; 10 grandchildren, Denise (Edward) Reeh, Delbert Jacques, Jr., Dawn (Ricky) Moses, Darin Jacques, Theresa (Tim) Jeter, Karen Gutherie, Patricia (Joey) Chapman, Kelly (Josh) Brown, Tiffany (Mark) Gentile, and Patricia (Scott Carter) Burdick; 26 great-grandchildren, Edward Reeh Jr., Jennifer Reeh, Brandon Reeh, Bradley (Maria) Reeh, Jane (Elias) Llanes, Delbert Jacques III, Jeremy Moses, Danielle, Marisa Jacques, Chastity (Cory) Gaspard, Shae (Mike) Meany, Ivy Jeter, Jaydien Jeter, Chandler Gutherie, Christopher Gutherie, Kenzie (Hunter) Mixon, Anthony Chapman, Joey Chapman Jr., Nathan Chapman, Julia Chapman, Isabella Brown, Ryder Brown, Amalia Gentile, Parker Gentile, Aubree Parkhurst, and Avery Parkhurst; 11 great-great-grandchildren, Edward Reeh III, Zoi Reeh, Magnolia Reeh, Gunner Criddle, Elias Llanes, Jr., Julia Llanes, Jayce Gaspard, Christopher Roland Chapman, Aleigha Jane Chapman, Gracee Mixon, and Stevey Mixon; and many nieces and nephews,
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter Jane Helen Burdick, a grandson, John Phillips, a great-grandson, Zachary Booth, and six siblings, William Murray, Floyd Murray, Josephine Murray Thompson, Ethel Murray Barney, Melvin Murray, and Linda Hazel Murray.
Calling hours will be held Friday, February 16, 2024 at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
