Fay J. Blauvelt, 54, a resident of the Dutch Ridge Road in the Town of Scriba, passed away Wednesday, at his home. He was surrounded by his family.
Fay was born in Fulton, NY, the son of the late Walter and Amelia (Richardson) Blauvelt. He was a life resident of the area.
He was a member of Laborer’s Local #214, and had been employed with various construction projects throughout the years.
Fay was an avid hunter, who enjoyed the outdoors and camping. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Smith) Blauvelt of Scriba; two sons, Adam (Michelle) Blauvelt of Scriba, and Ryan (Danielle) Blauvelt of Farmington; a brother, Faith Blauvelt of Hannibal; two grandchildren, Kaylee Blauvelt, and Logan Blauvelt; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Ida Peacock; and a brother, Hope Blauvelt.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 Tuesday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 Monday, at the funeral home, 112 East Second Street.
