Flora Rose (Earl) Kurilovitch, 76, of Oswego, NY passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025 surrounded by her family after a brief illness.

Flora was born in Oswego to Lionel “Lucky” Earl and Flora (Cairns) Earl. She attended Oswego High School where she met the love of her life, Alex.

They began dating on January 17, 1964. After high school they were engaged prior to Alex leaving for military service. They wed on September 19, 1970, and were happily married for the next 55 years. Through this union they were blessed with 3 wonderful children and 5 grandchildren, who were the true joy of her life.

Flora was a stay-at-home mother until her youngest child started school before beginning her career as a teaching assistant with Oswego County BOCES. After retiring, she cared for her grandchildren for many years.

Flora was incredibly proud of her Scottish heritage and enjoyed sharing Scottish music with family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, watching sports and attending various events for her children and grandchildren. But most importantly, she loved and was loved.

She is survived by her husband, Alex Kurilovitch, daughter Dawn (Greg) Campbell, son Alex (Kate) Kurilovitch, daughter Keri (James) Guynn, all of Oswego, NY. Grandchildren Mason, Olivia and Wyatt Kurilovitch, and Carter and Gavin Guynn. Brothers Lionel (Mary) Earl of Springhill, TN, and Scott (Beth) Earl of Baldwinsville, NY, and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in her honor.
