Flossie M. Stock, 85, a resident of Murray St. Oswego, passed away September 5, 2014 at home.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Pickard and Gertrude (Shaw) and Joseph Barrillo. Flossie worked at the Oswego Hospital, Taggerts and the local nursing home. She enjoyed gardening and helping on the Stock farm, which she owned and operated. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Flossie attended the Assembly of God Church and participated with taking care of communion for several years.
Surviving are her four daughters, Sandy (Steve) Ridge of North Carolina; Nancy (Bruce) Callen of Minetto; Debra (Walter) Ford of Scriba; Kathy (Mike) Gentile of Oswego; a son, Roger (Pat) Stock of Watertown; fourteen grandchildren, Jennifer (Matt) Valente, Wesley (Penny)Stock, Jessica (Josh) Roshia, Jason Calkins, Kevin (Susie) Calkins, Heather Calkins (John) Ward, Sean (Aimee) Callen, Greg Callen, W.C. Ford, Jonathon Ford, Ashley Ford, Joey Stock Jr., Brian (Jennifer) Stock, Theresa Slimmer; eighteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Roger Stock (1999), a daughter, Dawn Marie Stock, and a son, Joseph Stock.
Calling hours will be held 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, at the Port City Faith Church, 436 West Fifth St. Oswego.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ram and Hospice for being so caring and nice to her and also Dr. Ed Galvin for his treatments.
