Francis Edward Tuttle, 94, a resident of State Rt. 48 in Minetto, passed away Monday morning, at his home.

Mr. Tuttle was born in Syracuse, NY, the son of the late Edward and Mary (Woods) Tuttle. He was a life resident of the area.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed for 20 years with the service department of the Niagara Mohawk Power Corp.

He had previously worked for 20 years for the Cleary Plumbing and Heating Co. in Oswego.

Mr. Tuttle was a veteran of the US Army, and served in the combat zone in Europe during WWII.

He was a life member of the Oswego Lodge of Elks, a life member of the MInetto American Legion Post 486, and a life member of the Oswego Knights of Columbus.

He was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Minetto.

He is survived by his wife, Marion Louise (Elkin) Tuttle of Minetto; a son, James (Sue Luade) Tuttle of Scriba; a daughter, Carol (Dale) Borland of North Carolina; six grandchildren, Daniel, Christopher, Garett, Jazzlyn, Edward, and Diann; his cousin, Mary (Don) Fitch of Oswego; two step-daughters, Yvonne Scott of Hannibal, and Susan (Rick) Hayden of Fulton; and three step-sons, Randy (Debi) Geroux of Oswego, Blaine Geroux of Oswego, and George Geroux of Oswego.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Helen (Kinder) Tuttle, who died in 1996; and a son, Gary Tuttle, who died in 1979.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 Saturday, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Minetto.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 Friday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
