
Lt. Col.\Retired, Frank M. Regan, 88 of Oswego passed away Tuesday morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.
He was born in Oswego and was the son of the late George and Mary Zanka Regan. Mr. Regan was the husband of Mary L. Dutcher Regan.
He served in the US Air Force for twenty one years seeing service in the Korean conflict and retired as a Lt. Colonel. Mr. Regan was stationed in many parts of the world during his military career including the cities that his children were born in, including Colorado Springs, Colorado, Izmir, Turkey, Washington, DC, Omaha, Nebraska, Madrid, Spain and was stationed several years in Wiesbaden, Germany.
Following his military career, Mr. Regan returned to Oswego in 1968 and was employed at Burritt Chevrolet before becoming a partner with Chamberlain Pontiac-Cadillac.
He had also operated a Taxi business in Oswego and retired as the co-owner of Auto Gallery with his son Jeff after twenty one years.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Regan is survived by two daughters Deborah J. Regan and Catherine A. (George) Broadwell, both of Oswego, two sons Mark (Janine) Regan and Jeff (Denise) Regan, both of Oswego, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister Mary Kosbob, a son Michael Regan and a great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 10:00AM at the Church of the Resurrection. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 4-7PM at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
