Write a commentFriends of Recovery Oswego County will host its End of Summer Recovery Rally on August 24, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Fallbrook, located at 103 Thompson Road, Oswego, NY 13126.
The event aims to celebrate recovery, raise awareness about overdose prevention, and remember those lost to overdose.
The rally will feature a variety of activities for all ages, including outdoor games, a photo booth, and a tie-dye activity. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a music and writing workshop led by singer/songwriter John Dillon, culminating in the creation of an original song, followed by his concert. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the evening.
"This event is a chance for our community to come together, celebrate recovery, and support those who are struggling," said Teresa Woolson, Founder and Board Member at Friends of Recovery Oswego County. "We believe that by raising awareness about overdose prevention and remembering those we've lost, we can make a positive impact on the lives of many."
