Gather Emergency Supplies – The Oswego County Health Department offered a free Citizens Preparedness training session on April 7 to educate the public on ways to prepare for a variety of emergencies.
Each participant received a free preparedness kit (pictured above) including a pair of safety goggles, first-aid kit, a flashlight with batteries, duct tape, gloves, a pocket radio, an emergency blanket, and more.

Residents Learn to Prepare for Disasters
Over two dozen residents attended the session as part of National Public Health Week. Attendees learned how to prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters. Topics included how to develop a family emergency plan, what supplies to have on-hand, and more. The Health Department hosted a variety of events from April 6-10 to celebrate National Public Health Week. The occasion aims to promote health, safety and wellness.
