At approximately 9:00 A.M. on September 23, 2025, officers from the City of Fulton Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing on Utica Street.
Upon arrival, officers located a 42-year-old male victim suffering from a stab wound to the lower torso. Emergency medical personnel provided immediate aid, and the victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated and later released.
Due to the incident’s proximity to two nearby schools, both were temporarily placed under lockdown as a precaution. It was quickly determined that the incident was isolated, as the suspect and victim were known to one another and there was no threat to the public.
Following an intensive investigation, officers identified and arrested the suspect later that evening without incident. The suspect is identified as: Jimmy M. Diaz, 48 years old, of Fulton, NY
Charges:
Assault in the Second Degree – Class D Felony
Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree – Class D Felony
Diaz was transported to Centralized Arraignment, where he was arraigned and remanded to the Oswego County Jail on $10,000 cash bail.
