The Fulton Public Library was recently recognized with a Community Connections Award at the North Country Library System (NCLS) Annual Meeting, celebrating the library’s outstanding efforts in collaboration and community engagement.

The award was presented to the library staff, Friends of the Library, and Board of Trustees for their exceptional teamwork and dedication to strengthening relationships within the community.

“This award is a wonderful acknowledgment of the hard work and heart our team brings to everything we do, especially our dedicated staff,” said Caroline Chatterton, Director of Fulton Public Library. “It truly reflects the spirit of partnership that drives our programs, outreach, and connections with the people we serve.”

Throughout the past 2 years, the Fulton Public Library has partnered with local organizations, schools, and civic groups to create inclusive programs, meaningful events, and new opportunities for community members of all ages. From literacy initiatives and creative workshops to resource sharing and local collaborations, these efforts embody the library’s mission to serve as a welcoming hub for learning, connection, and growth.

The Community Connections Award is one of several honors given annually by NCLS to recognize libraries that go above and beyond in service, innovation, and community impact across the North Country region.
