G. Elaine Seymour, 84 of Oswego passed away peacefully Thursday morning at her home.
She was born in Scriba and was the daughter of the late Clyde and Rachel Crouch Tice. Mrs. Seymour was the wife of Irwin J. “Zeke” Seymour. She grew up in Scriba and was part of a large family. She married her husband Zeke on October 4, 1951. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, puzzling and birdwatching. Mrs. Seymour was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband she is survived by four daughters, Diane (James) Cullinan. III, Lisa (William) Falcetti both of Oswego, Jae (Derek Teeter) VanBuren of New Haven, Jo-el (Cliff) Horn of Oswego, three sons, Charles (Marcia) Seymour of Syracuse, Gregg (Kathy) Seymour of Mexico, Jeff Seymour of Oswego, five brothers, Jimmy (Pat) Tice of Oswego, Ronald (Jean) Tice of China Springs, TX, Richard (Dawn) Tice of Oswego, Jack Tice of Arizona, Gary (Lola) Tice of Fulton, two sisters June Murray of Oswego, Jill (Grant) Smith of Fulton, 18 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, several neices and nephews.
Mrs. Seymour was predeceased by one son Dana Seymour, one brother David Tice and a sister Anita Runeari.
Calling hours will be 1-4PM Saturday at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home with a service to follow at 4PM. Spring burial will be in Peck Cemetery.
