Born in Oswego, he was at the son of the late Adrian and Frances (Hammond) Annal.
He was a US Army Airborne Veteran having served from 1954 to 1957.
He worked for the Corps of Engineers in Marine Construction and later worked as a Steam Fitter for the Local 73 for more than 30 years before his retirement.
George loved his dogs and watching old movies.
Surviving are his wife, Donna (Patnode) Annal; two daughters, Linda (Robert Andrews) Annal, of Oswego; Mary Anne (Richard) Crisafulli, of Oswego; five sons, Adrian (Sophrona) Annal, of Hannibal; Thomas Annal, of Rochester; Timothy (Mary) Annal, Michael (Cori Welch) Annal, Richard Annal, all of Oswego; sixteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter-in-law Denise Annal.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held 10:30AM Wednesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Minetto. Burial will follow with military honors at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Oswego.
Calling hours will be held 4-7PM Tuesday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
